Our Mission

Montana Christian College exists to instruct and mentor Christian students to shape the church and influence culture by reflecting the character of Christ.

Vital to our values, our mission is based on Rom. 12:2, “Do not be conformed to the image of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you can test and approve God’s will – his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

The Great Commission

… is the heartbeat of Montana Christian College. Through biblical content we strive to guide students to understand that their chosen vocation includes the call of God to serve him vocationally, whether in the marketplace or the church. Vocation is from the Latin word vocatio, which means “to hear the voice, or to summon.” This requires a high standard of academics and the motivation to obey God in fulfilling his call.

Our History

Founded in 1974, Yellowstone Baptist College was established to train future pastors and church leaders. The College didn’t have a permanent home until 1980 when the current campus grounds were purchased. Since then, the campus has grown, with six buildings (library, chapel, administrative/ classroom building, two residence halls, and fitness center).

After adding degrees beyond ministry, the College was renamed Yellowstone Christian College in 2010 to represent the degree offerings and mission better.

With a need to expand, the board decided to purchase a campus in Kalispell, MT. Now Montana Christian College, we welcome our first Kalispell campus students in the Fall of 2022.
