In Memoriam of Paul Gregoire

Dear Friends,

With great sadness of heart, I am writing to inform you of the passing of MCC’s faithful registrar and my
friend, Dr. Paul Gregoire. The tragic news came to me on March 21 from Dr. Lloyd Harsch, a mutual
friend of ours. I spoke with Paul not quite a month ago, and he never mentioned his illness.

Though perhaps limited, Paul’s time at Montana Christian College proved very effective and propelled us
forward in many ways. When I was instructed to hire a registrar by USDE, ABHE, and HEC, I reached out
to him on the recommendation of Dr. Steven Lemke. I warned Paul that we had lacked a professional
registrar for years and that he was walking into a quagmire. My next statement was “you’re either brave
or foolish to take on this role as there is much work to be done to satisfy our accrediting body.” His
reply, “There is a fine line between bravery and foolishness…I will join you.” Paul lamented that he did
not know me and many of the people he met at MCC sooner. He loved our Board, our faculty, staff, and
student body. He was truly one of the most encouraging men that I have known.

I will miss my friend but am grateful that he is praising the Lord with that terrific Cajun accent.
